Why is DT Max claiming the QST credit in the file of a dependent child born before January 1, 1986?

Indeed, the QST credit should not be claimed by a child for whom the dependant amount (line 25 of Schedule A) and/or the tax reduction for families is claimed.

However, DT Max may erroneously claim the QST credit in a dependant's file if they were in school full-time in 2004.

For the time being, as a workaround, use the keyword Optimize with the option TP1 - Claim the QST credit on this tax return in the dependant's file and choose not to claim the QST credit.
